Stocks rebounded today, erasing some of yesterday’s losses.  The KBW Banking Index rose 7.57% and the KBW Regional Banking Index rose 4.75%. The broader S&P 500 Index was up 1.31%.

The Bank Index was led by Fifth Third Bancorp, Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, and Synovus Financial, which were up 17.74%, 15.28%, and 13.64%, respectively. Leading the Regional Banking Index were Synovus Financial, Citizens Republic Bancorp, and Boston Private Financial Holdings, which were up 13.64%, 13.14%, and 11.08%, respectively.
